Lighting the Gardens

This project’s aim was to create a lighting plan within the Christchurch Botanical Gardens for a temporary period of time. Our design plan was to create a lighting scheme that illuminated certain parts of the site and showcase the beautiful gardens at night. We focused on the lighting of the pathways: enhancing a sense of direction, highlighting the main line of travel and providing a safety guide and flow for visitors which then continuously connects to each destination.
